About

Chinarchy is a community site run by expats living in China. The content examines Chinese life from a rational, philosophical perspective with great respect for psychology and economics. We want to respond to our readers’ interests, so if there is something specific you’d like us to write about please let us know.

Our content is a little disorganized right now; we’re going through some transitions. Just bear with us over the next few months while we get ourselves sorted out.

Anonymity

The Chinese government is well known for censoring websites and even imprisoning writers, journalists and bloggers whose work they consider subversive. This is probably a minor risk;  we can only hope Chinarchy would become popular enough (and subversive enough) to warrant the Chinese state’s attention.

A greater risk would be losing our jobs or legal residencies in this country. You probably know who we are, and thats fine, but please try to avoid using our real names in comments, links, tweets or anything else that mentions Chinarchy.
